The icons that appear in the shortcut view can be renamed and toggled on and off.
Follow these steps to open the Shortcut Properties page.
Step 1 Open the Blackboard Learning System Administrator Control Panel.
Step 2 Select Display Options under Content System.
Step 3 Select Manage Shortcut View.
Step 4 Click Manage for a content area.
The following fields are available on the Shortcut Properties page.

Edit the name of the content area. The current name will display in this field. |

Select Yes or No to display a shortcut to the content area. If No is selected this area will not appear on the left-side navigation menu. This area is hidden, not disabled, in the system. |
